Children of Promise

A CHRISTIAN
MONTESSORI SCHOOL

We provide a caring atmosphere where
children acquire confidence, motivation, and the tools necessary to realize their full potential.

Events

Each year we have a festival called "Friends Around the World Day." The children dress in the attire of various nations and explore ethnic diversity. The festival culminates with songs and dances of the many countries and a sampling of foods from around the world.

Our geography studies focus on two nations per year. Students experience the culture through its cuisine, music, dance, while they observe displayed artifacts of the nation. In addition, a native, or someone who has traveld the country, gives a presentation on the society.

We choose a different time period to explore each year through our history studies. The children actively experience the ways of life in earlier times.

We have in-house demonstrations and invite speakers from the St. Louis Science Center and Missouri Botanical Garden, as well as professionals in botany, zoology, and other interesting fields to offer our students an individual and direct experience.

The school holds an annual evening celebration for Advent during which we sing Christmas carols and enjoy cookies.

In May, we host a Mother's Day luncheon. The children prepare a chef salad and sit down to a delightful meal with their mothers. On another occasion we prepare a special breakfast which the fathers and their children enjoy together.
